there wasnt much i could do about the rust over the wheel wells and i have he patch pannels in my room and was planning on welding them in the first week college was out but my truck got hit in the parking lot and i never got a new bed and my parents just took my insurance money

I loved my Ranger and I really hope she found a good home. Don't look at it as the end, but more as a fresh start. I really didnt have much say in my truck getting traded in, my dad had the title for the Ranger, and told family members on my birthday he wanted to get me something bigger and newer. The Silverado is in his name. All you can do is go along for the ride until you have the title in your name.

yeah thats the ****ty things i would love to trade the focus in on this damn mariner and clunker my truck for an 09 ranger but it will never happen

thanks shane i have already started looking but 3500 is out of my price range right now im hopefully going to try and save some money this school year and buy a new truck in the spring and get my life together and get my own insurance and hopefully move out of my parents house

Me personally, I'd want to start out with a '97 fully loaded w/ a 5spd and 4.0. Highest output of that gen 4.0, plus has the newer nicer dash.

yeah i want to keep the ttb front end because i want the sas to be easy and i want a loaded truck next time with power everything but im going to have to go though the trouble of finding a damn manual tcase again ugh what a pain in the ass and i will have to pay for the next one i get the one on my truck i got for free i want to take it out so bad if we dont do it well today now then thursday morning im getting up and taking it out

cameron......swap tcases. You've been online for what....4 hours now....could've done the swap in a 1/4 of that time...

Tcases are hard to come by....expo rears are not. get it done.

Get under the truck yet to remove those 4 bolts for the rear shaft and 4 bolts for the front shaft? How about the 5 or 6 to remove the Tcase?

I cant wait till this pancake this truck its not like anything besides the transfer case and axle is worth anything.

i know i cant say too much, cuz technically my situation is the same as yours, but my dad is going to be taking my non functioning mustang that i have...which leaves me with my two trucks.

one they bought for me (like how you have your focus) and the other i just bought (which would be under my name if i was older...im not 18 yet)


take advantage of the money you could save for you and your family while the offers out, yes its sad but come on...your gunna end up spending more money you dont have fixing up the ranger sooner or later.......

well the tcase is still in i went to bed and got up after 4 hours but it will probably come out later today

A coworker got me thinking on another route.

Texas gives 3,000 to someone whos single and makes less than 30k a year
plus the 4,500 from cash for clunkers

thats 7,500.. Buy a Haundi for like 9,000 and pay it off in a year, then sell it for my diesel.. Basically getting a NEW car for $2500.. but its also gonna be the bottom of the bottom in car quality. and i really hate cheap ****. The ranger is kinda cheap but still nice... i hate plastic cars.
