Yes you'll need a relay. Do you want them to come on with a switch, fog lights, high beams what? Do you want to run 2 on 1 switch and 2 on another switch.

Well there is 2 driving lights in the middle then the 2 fogs on the outside I plan on running 2 switches in the cab 1 for the fogs and 1 for the driving lights ( the foglights aside from the ones on my valence)

This will work for ya then, just one switch for the driving lights and one for the fogs.

don't follow the directions that say to splice into the low-beam wire on the head lights, then the hellas will turn off when you turn the hi-beams on.

just run that wire to a constantly hot source. just my .02

Just wire it up like I posted and you'll be good to go.

Could I just splice the 500's into my stock fog light wires without any relays or anything? They're only 55 watts.

I wouldn't. Run a replay and have it triggered off of the fog lights.

Even if I won't have the fog lights?

I would only be running the Hella's off of the wiring, no stock fog lights.

Oh gotcha, yeah that should work. Make sure the fuse is enough for the amperage the Hellas put out.

So you just snipped off the factory fog light and wired in the Hella?

For five bucks you can get a six-fuse fuse panel at AutoZone. Install it under the dash or in your center console. Run two or four gauge fused wire to it from the battery, then like 10gauge or whatever you want off it to your switches and your lights. I did that and it let me run 7 lights my train horns and my compressor. It's the right way to do it. Stealing power from other things is going to hurt you, it may not have a big enough fuse and the wire may not be big enough. Just to many ways to screw the truck up. Electrical problems can be the most costly to have fixed because of all the hours of tracing wires that must be done.

Could you wire 4 lights to one Hella switch? Like if they were wired up in pairs like they're sold but wired to operate off of one switch.

Yes, you'd use the switch 12v+ output to trigger both relays. Connect it to Pin 86 on both relays.

Would I need a bigger wire/or fuse between the power and switch for the extra load of 4 lights? ..and could I run this to the battery instead of the fuse box or headlight wire as long as I keep the in line fuse close to the battery?

No, as long as you run 1 relay to 2 lights you'll be fine with 1 switch. The switch should never get over 5 amps from the relay.
