I was at Lowes talking with one of my ex co-workers (used to work there). This is the same guy I've talked about up here that lies about what he has or if you say you just got something, he's either had it has something better. The kid has a 2005 Edge Supercab 4X2 3.0. That can outpull, out run my 4.0 because he has a supercharger and chip, he's a load of bull****. So the ther day I was in there and he drops the title line on me: "Yeah Ford put a 5.4 in a Ranger from the factory. My buddy has one. Only a few got it.". Seriously this guy is an idiot. I laughed so hard. I just thought you guys would get a kick out of it.

I know chrysler will put any motor in a car that you want as a dealer installed accessory... of course your gonna pay for it...

Not done at our dealer but someone had a 6.1L Hemi in a Jeep Wrangler before they took delivery of it, and chrysler even made it emissions legal in all 50 states.

So i guess if he payed for it ford would do it...... Like ive always been told with the right amount of money anything can be bought

Mark that was a one time thing. They put the Lightning stuff under a Ranger. Plus motor and trans and what not. But I'm 99% sure there is only one of those and they don't even do anything with it now. It just sits there and rots away.

No it didn't, it came with a 3.0 or 4.0 with a tune, intake and dual exhaust

The lightning bolt Ranger did in fact have a supercharged 5.4 in it, but it was only a concept vehicle.

That is bad *** that Mopar will still do that. I always thought it would be cool if you custom order vehicles like you could back in the 60's. I always wanted an SN95 Mustang in v6 trim with a cobra motor in it. I thought that would be bad ***.

i once had to sit in at one of my dads photo classes (he was out of town and figured id take good notes)

anyhow, the guy parked next to me had a ranger ... so i started talking to him and he mentioned that he had a 4.0 and that 2003 was the first year ..... i dont even know how hard it was to not laugh ... he wasnt a one upper im guessing someone at the dealer talked him into the bigger engine

i'm sorry for your loss...

i know there was a dealership back home, brown brothers ford, that was an SVT dealership, that was selling "SVT thunder"'s which were supposed to be an imatation of the "thunder bolt" or the "lightening-rod" not sure which one, but both were pretty sweet... it was a ranger with really nice SVT interior, and a 4.0 with a chip and a damn good tune, and i think headers, but it was that dealership that did them, in the shop in the back...
