Hitch compatability (old to new Ranger)

Does anyone know if a hidden hitch off a 1987 Ranger would fit my 2003 Ranger?

This is what was said in the ad:

mounting brackets are from center to center 29.5 inches. came off a 1987 ranger.

it might, ive seen a gen III box on a gen II truck before, only way to be sure is measure yours. how long was that hitch on the '87? ive seen rusted-trough receiver hitches alot lately. i knock rusr off mine yearly and repaint & think mine may be getting some thin spots.

It might, but that hitch is over 20 years old. if it is majorly rusted you might just want to buy a new one. it would last longer and would be a lot safer for a heavy load.

The hitch is in mint condition. The seller provided a good picture.

It was probably on the truck less than a year. There is no rust.
