i got a loan for 60 months and i am only 2 payments into it. i pay $150 a month CASH. i just save my tips from work for 3 weeks and that covers it, i was lucky and got it set up that my first payment wasnt due for 6 weeks so everything that i have done to the truck has been paid for with cash.

Bought it when it was 3 years old with my own money...modded it with my own money while going to school that I paid for with my own money as well...

Maybe that's why mine isn't as modded as your truck. My parents, stepfather, or anybody have not helped me out with my $h!t. Take your modded $h!t and shove it up your @$$...next time, work for your own stuff instead of it being given to you.

Loan.

My old ride was on it's last legs and I just graduated College. I promised myself that I'd buy myself a new ride upon Graduation. As of June 2008, it's paid off and mine.

My first 98 It was 8k after taxes I put 5k down of money I saved from working from the age of 15, I was 16 at the time and parents loaned me 3k I paid them back in a year after I had the truck and that was with me paying for my own insurance and gas as well.

Second truck the 07 this year It was 13k after my xplan and rebates I put 5k down and took a loan out for 5.5 years of the rest and was paying 190 a month but I got tired of going to the bank and making payments so I took money out that I had saved from the past year at work and just paid it off, its what i should of done from the start.

now thats smart. depending on what interest rate you had you save some cash not having to spend the $ on interest..

I had the money when I purchased the truck but wasnt sure if I wanted to take it out at the time plus I needed to build credit. I didnt mind making payments but sooner or later I knew I would forget to make a payment, money wasnt the issue if I didnt make a payment its just sometimes I get so busy and I forget to do things and Im sure I would of forgotten a payment and I didnt want to mess my credit score up if I did.

And I think my interest rate was 8.9, I never had credit before my dad cosigned for me but after 3 months I went to the bank too my money out and payed the bank I had my loan through they thought I was joking when I said I wanted to pay it off.

Significant other was nice to pay for mine .............oh yeah, that's why she hogs it all the time and I just work on it .

Honestly, I made her get it because she needs the 4x4 in the winter........but I won't tell her that!

Anyone tried driving a '95 Escort in the winter(in Michigan)......what a death wish!

This is the only vehicle I have a loan out on right now. I had a 5 year loan and now only 41 payments to go!

My other trucks I had were paid for cash money:
2004 Ford F-350 Diesel FX4 Crew Cab
2005 Ford F-250 Diesel FX4 Crew Cab
No longer own either of these.
