There's no brake components on the passenger side in the engine bay.... it's all on the driver side. Maybe I should have said 'open hood, look at firewall, look towards the left'.

When I found that pic of my truck, I realized it was like just 'left'/passenger side of the centerline of the firewall. lol.

If you are talking about the blower box then it looks nothing like a brake booster. Yeah its round but that's it.

Christian - you should know better, if its round, and in a vehicle.. it MUST be a brake booster!

Did you also supply 12V power and ground to the tach per the instructions? The tan/yellow is just the tach signal wire; it will not power the tach on its own.

sounds like you got the wrong wire and its time to come over to my pad and hook it up.

Okay, i bought a tester and i tested that my power and ground are both good. but that brown/yellow wire is not reading any power, even when the truck is on i got no power at all. Heres a pic of the wire that i tapped into on my PCM (Between my fingers in the pic). So i know for a fact now that its not that wire for the tach reading. (Yeah i know the wire im using to splice into it is black, i ran out of blue wire and thats all i had left lol, but it still gets current.)

well Fx4wannabe told me it was the tan/yellow wire and its not reading any power. I checked on my freinds truck ( a 97' 2.3L ) and he tapped into the tan/yellow wire and his is working, but he tapped into it right behind the fuse box in the engine bay, not directly from the PCM like i did but that shouldnt make a difference.
