Seafoam is an engine treatment for your motor that can remove carbon build-up, as well as a few other gunk-removal duties. You can find it in your local auto parts store (autozone, NAPA, advance, o'reily's, etc. Wal-mart might even have it). There are several ways you can run it through your engine and it will help different parts depending on how you run it through.
Come on you guys...get with the program!!!
EVERYTHING you ever wanted to know about SeaFoam

GACK!!! WHAT A DEGENERATE WORLD!!!
Don't you realize that "SeaFoam" is just a euphemism for the latest designer pharmaceuticals???
Oh, sure, yeah, it "get's the carbon out" and "cleans out the sludge", uh huh...FREAKS! That's just code talk for something else!
SeaFoam is the ruination of our our nation, the next wave of burned out brains! Don't do SeaFoam!!!!
...of course, I could have it confused with something else...

Maybe if your engine was so impacted, it could conceivable do something like that.
Actually, the "old school" bit was just to use water. Nothing but water and run it in through a vacuum line exactly like SeaFoam. It works pretty well actually. Guys I know with muscle cars still do that from time to time. Carbuerated engines in particular tend to run off ratio routinely and make more carbon than modern fuel injected ones I do believe. It was considered preventive maintenance by many old school guys.
Of course, like SeaFoam, change your oil afterwards.
