how many miles are too many?

how many miles are too many?

so, i want a 3" bl and some bigger tires, when my tires go bad. BUT i was wondering. how many miles is too many to be turning those big ole tires. ive got an 01 2wd 3.0 extended cab. it pings under heavy load, but other then that, its a beast. its got roughly 140k miles now. its getting driven ALOT less now tho, since ive got my mustang for the summer, but at say 150k is it still ok to have the 33's and a bl?

I say go for it! I've got a 2000 with over 202k miles on the 3.slow. just did a body lift and getting some 33x12.50s.

yeah, id need to find a new rear. i went through thet with my mustang. no one does gear installs around here. i ended up buying a used 8.8 with 3.73's for the mustang. ive got the old 2.73 kickin around somewhere tho. ill look into one for the ranger. thanks
EDIT: sweet. i just might. my next vehicle, whenever it may be, might be another ranger, so i could always take it off and swap over.
EDIT aGAIN: whats the biggest tire i can fit onto stock rim?

There are no driveline shops anywhere near Connecticut? Kinda hard to believe.

lol none that i found. my family owns a package store, and ive asked alot of people. not much luck.

HAHA i have 267k on my truck. I was running 31s and 3.27s for about the last 6 months and it was fine now im running 3.73s and 31s

well i guess ill probably end up doing it. hows 31's? i can fit them on my stock rim right?

Yeah you'll be fine running the 31x10.5. Do you have any junkyards around you? You could pick up a 8.8 with 4.10s and easily swap it in your truck. You'd be good to run 33s with that

You could run 44's on your stock rims.

It's all about how wide you are going. I wouldn't go wider than a 12.5 on stock rims.

so i could do 33x12.5 on my stock rims? i look into junk yards. im going to be pretty much dd. my mustang this summer, so ill have alot of time to work on the ranger. if i body lift it tho, it might make me want to drive that more then my mustang i just dumped so much time and money into. thanks for the help everyone.

And I would definately do tha lift and all... remember Built Ford Tough haha

what tired would you guys suggest. i wont lie, it will rarely, if ever see offroad. it really hasnt yet, except for some mud behing my parents store. what size/even exact tire would be best. id like it to do ok in snow/rain/and street, but look kinda agressive. i dont car about name brands. thanks!

i was reading that with the rear bumper brackets, the bumper cannot be used for towing. can i leave the bumper stock height in the rear, so can still tow with it, or will that be hideos?
