i highly doubt that, if u believe that tell me whats so special about the rear end in that truck. and then ill tell u whats into my truck.....

I am still going to look at it and the other project truck. But like zach told me today. If I buy this truck for 3 grand dump another 2k into it for suspension upgrade I might as well buy the front end from dixon bros for my truck.

BTW did I tell you we have a bender???? Can you say cage time for my truck hehe.


The more I look at it the more I dislike it. It looks like a tough truck, accua;lly it is a touch truck lol and it worked well. But for what I want to do to it I might as well dump it into my 04

whats so special about the rear axle? its a gusseted 8.8 and some shocks, i dont know what is supposed to make it worth so much

Any joe blow with a welder could gusset that rear axle and add the shock tabs.

I think the 4 shocks are a little excessive and over bearing.

i have the same axle, so if i gusset it does that mean i can sell my truck for 5000? lol.

im still tryin to figure out how thats worth more the a 9" from a 77 Bronco thats just been completely rebuilt, had a new detroit installed, and has been converted to disc brakes

besides those rusty old shock rods add some value to it too.

i didnt even count in the upgraded axles in that rear either, and that was 300 by themselves

im not some fool that doesnt know what there talking about, i did this **** PROFESSIONALLY since i could work, i have my ase master tech as well, u arent talking to some noob here, so, before u go degrading people or there trucks, how about getting the facts straight, sure, if i wanted i could ahve a nice shiny post 4th gen ranger with all the money i spend on ACTUALLY building trucks, but wheres the fun in that, id be afraid togo out and scratch the paint runnin quad trails, id be afraid to put it on its side when im tearin through a nasty off tilt mud hole, im not like most the guys here, how shiny my paint is means absolutly DICK to me

i wandered over here cause i like to talk about trucks, and i can share quite a bit of knowledge from my experience, and this is my 12th ranger, i had built the yellow one in my introduction thread few years back and then sold it, theres a before pic up there, and i built that truck like im doin this one, from the ground up, the only thing left stock on my truck will be the cab

my brother just sold his 96 4.0 ranger for 6000 with:
Giant Motorsports arms
King coilovers
king hydraulic bump stops
full fiberglass
plus more
it was a very nice truck and very fun..


so that guy is crazy to pay over 1500 for that old and rusty hunk of junk

$1500 tops...

But who wakes up in the morning and says "i need to buy a truck to beat up and jump"

Ya thats whats sucks about gas prices it is hard to find cheap cars anymore, to jump approaches with, rally race every where, set up hit and runs and watch poeple freak out and have demo derbys when your done with them....

I had a car like that. almost 40 MPG. Then I derbied it. Atleast I won more money then I paid for it 3 years before.:party:

On a side note. That truck is a thing of the past. That suspension is from 95. I think its a great work of art from what they had 15 years ago. But it aint worth the money.

Like I said before, once I get the money saved I could prabably due my truck for around 7grand and womp all over that one

this is what i got to say, now, the original question to you, is what makes that axle and rear susp worth more then my truck

There is a 80's model ranger close to me that has a D44/9" setup, 33" tires with a 302 and a C4 that is actually done right, and he only wants $1500 for it. I wouldnt spend a dime on that truck!!
