Well I finally got a chance to work on the truck a little. Between the snow, my sister being in the hospital and a death my time has been occupied. Anyway I got the tailgate fixed up and painted and took a few pics...

Thanks, I haven't even cleaned it up yet but that is on the agenda. The interior is pretty dirty.

Thanks to my buddy Brian, he supplied me with the tailgate. I had some work on it as you can see, it was from his rolled truck and I had one rust hole to fix. The factory paint code was BG I think it was called amber frost or metalic or something. That color wasn't available in the cheaper nason brand paint and was 80 a pint in the chroma base brand. I had them shoot the old tailgate with thier gun and came up with a code we could use with the cheaper paint. Its cinnamon frost from a 2002 kia. matches really good and was 31 a pint.

Looks great John! Can't believe you got that tailgate looking new like that! Just out of curiosity does that ranger have the 8.8 4.10 L/S?

total for this build what did it cost you?

have you ever thought about selling to people on here whose trucks get totaled? they could give you what you paid for the truck and labour outta their insurance monies.

it's a win/win. you fix and sell a truck, they get a new to them truck to replace. you guys might have to drive a little to meet up but. the way i see it, you guys are helping each other.

Sure I'd sell the trucks to people on here. I think anybody that sees my trucks could make me a reasonable offer. I always sell them below book so I'm not ripping anybody off.

Thanks!

I looked up the KBB price. Private party price range is from $4990-$5765. I figure I'll try for 4000 and listen to offers...
