i CAN'T figure out what to do next

just a few small things i want to do for my truck. not sure what though. buy a new headunit with the full touch screen and NAVI. or buy new speakers for the inside of the truck, got a nice sub, but need to get rid of the stock speakers.
i also want to get my exhaust redone, cut out the cats, and get 2.5" piping all the way back to the muffler, with a turndown right off of it.

OR, i want to buy a tuner.

help me out! idk what to do. right now, it can only be one of those things.

I always lean towards what you NEED first... what's going to get the most use....

I do the speakers first. I also would not cut out your cats there is no advantage of doing this. I don't think straight pipes sound good on a 4.0L. I would just get a nice muffler.

I've got the Wal-Mart sold Pioneer 6x8's in my truck. Huge improvement in clarity over stock. Especially noticeable when turned up loud. They don't distort like factory speakers do. The rear doors use the push in pins to hold the entire panel in. They're a pain to get out and usually break. Front doors are super easy. Four screws and you lift up the panel. That's it.

2 way speakers have a woofer and tweeter. 3 way usually have a woofer, mid-tweeter (?) and tweeter. 3 way speakers have a wider range of frequency reproduction.

One of my buddies has a 2001 4.0 edge with straights. He still has all of his cats though, and it sounds really good. Its not loud or high pitched, just mellow. Its awesome.

head unit first. better speakers are minimally better than stock unless you power them with an amp
