I crashed my Ranger

soo tonite, i crashed the ranger
It was just raining slightly, and i made a left hand turn, while i was making the turn i was turning too wide so i tightend up on the wheel a tad, well my drive wheel started to spin, n sucked me one way while my L/S started to spin me the otherway. I was powering outta it when i realized i wouldn't have enough room with other cars around so i just stepped on the brakes and spun it head on into the sidewalk.

Now the good news, i hit the sidewalk head on, kept it off the wall, avioided all the other cars and was able to drive away without the car even having a pull to it. I will be taking it to my suspension shop to get it checked out however it seems fine.

All this, and i was only doing 15 Km/h in first gear. however the turn is soo sharpe that most cars go into the distant lane but i could not as there was cars merging right into this lane from the other side of the intersection.

and yes i did have to change my boxer shorts after that one!!!

You did not crash, you had an uncontrolled-yaw-rate-experience. A crash involves hitting something. If the sidewalk you went into (on to?) wasn't high enough to hit the rim, it doesn't count.

Although this may not be a "crash" by most standards, it can still suck pretty bad. I slid into a curb on some ice last year in my escort.... had to replace the front passenger side a-arm, cv joint, and the popped tire. The rim got pretty chewed up too. A couple mechanics at the armory helped me with the labor, but I still had to pay for parts, it wasn't fun at all. Glad you made it out of this one with just a set of wet drawers.

That sucks, but its good that you were smart enought to watch out for other drivers and avoid causing an acccident.

soo yea now i have to think about what to modify to correct this problem as many left hand turn lanes here tend to be at extremely sharpe angles, 90 degrees. they put these stupid concrete islands that extend to the very edge of the intersection thus making the turns difficult on cars. For example on here onto the highway is soo bad that it creates 3 lanes of traffic merging into one lane, simply because not many cars can make the turn into the near lane.

Any idea of what i could do to assist in this problem??

Drive an F-350 lifted on 44s. Noone will merge on you. A ranger on dana 60 axles from an f-350 will do the truck also.
