MY New Amber Lights Video

I got my Whelen TIR3 and LIN3 lights in the mail today. I got one of each off of Ebay both are amber.

I still have to buy at least one more LIN3 lighthead and then Im gonna get one more TIR3 for now and later im gonna get 2 more of the TIR3s

I think for the TIR3 Lightheads im gonna buy the Galls branded ones because they are $10 cheaper (currently on sale) and are made by whelen

As for Mounting locations I think 2 of them Im gonna get under the tailgate using the grommet mounts. Then Im gonna mount 2 behind the grille and when I get 2 more mount them in the back window.

Hahaha Yeah I know its a mess. The upstairs is clean. That where the reloading equipment and ammo stock is located

As for the lights Im gonna mount them For the front im gonna mount either behind the grille or inside behind the front windshield.

The ones for the back glass I may move to the outer top edge of the glass... (behind the glass inside the cab)

This is the TIR3 lighthead only. I decide to go with this flash pattern. Gonna hook the one up behind the back glass tomorrow after work until I get another Ill just have this wired up in the rear. and until I can find the grommets to mount them under the tailgate the LIN3 is not gonna be hooked up yet


Its all built into the light head fused 12v and go

Hey ben do you know if they have any small ones that can be put inside, lets say a corner light? I've been thinking about putting a set of ambers on the next truck

Personally the reason I got these was because I tend to stop on the side of the road to help people out and have almost been ran over many times because the flashers dont draw enough attention to the idiot drivers... Plus if im stopped on the side of the road with ambers going its the law to slow down or move over...

I stopped at a accident one night that was blocking the far right lane at a stop light the guy had severe frontal damage the intersection was not lit very well and his electrical was not working so his black car was in the dark. I stopped and no one had called the police yet so I called, took them almost 45 mins to respond. and in that time used my last flare while I waited and I had my flashers going. Speed limit was 45mph and I counted about 6 cars that came very close to rear ending me.

That is one of the many instances I used to justify getting some lights to grab peoples attention...

Also I got the TIR3 installed just the one for right now I made a bracket and installed it on the headliner on the left side of the rear window. Kinda dark to get pictures tonight so I will get those up tomorrow.
