I got stuck!!
I got stuck!!
Well after work a co-worker (ranger owner) and i decided to go find some mud, which we did, And i got stuck, not just a little bit stuck but a lot stuck. i found this little hill which the mud was surrounding so i decided id see if i could make it up it, that was cake, but had a brain fart and never looked on the other side. It was almost like a little valley with the side i never looked at just soft sticky mud, and by the time i was acsending the muddy side it was to late, i slid down and got wedged there. Well after digging throught the dry and wet stuff for an hour to no avail, i called a buddy with a 88 chevy half ton with a 4in lift and 33's to get me out and he couldnt pull me out. So 165
$ and about an hour and a half later i got pulled out by a tow truck. Sorry is so long just thought id share. Remember to take a good look at what your getting into when your wheeling, i wish i would have. Sorry no pics yet, the guy at work with got a couple with his phone but you cant tell whats going on. Pics next time though.

I found a new love for my truck this weekend with these 33in BFG muds! [(45-50mph X outer rain bands from Hurricane/Tropical Storm John) + (33in BFG muds X caking puddled up wet sand roads in southeast AZ)] divided by 4-hi = new twist of new found love for my truck. Hehehe and I thought I loved the BFG ATs. Please!
This was all stuck in the side of the hill!

This was all in the mud!

And heres the not to dirty truck, it would have been a little more muddy if i wasnt stuck for so long!

I hope that gives you guys more an idea of what happend, all i know is all-terrains suck in the mud.

looks like u busted your valance. you may wanna remove your ABS fuse when u go offroading next time, itll stop your abs from kicking in when your sliding down a hill.... one of the guys on here, name is jared, cant think of his screen name, almost hit a tree sliding down a hill in his 02 fx4 cause his stupid abs kicked on.

Was the other part of the reason 2wd? lol You 2wd guys are nuts.

1. A/T's
2. 2wd
3. Really really slippery wet clay.
We 2wd guys have to use what we have. I would love to buy a 4wd truck But I cannot afford it and I have all of my mods on this truck and can't take some of them with me to a new truck (exhaust/wheels/Explorer console).
I agree with tread pattern on the BFG muds being generic, but that is about it with those tires. They have a different rubber compound and a much stronger sidewall then anything else that uses that tread pattern.

yea bfg m/t's are a well built tire. thier performance may differ for some, but the longevity and mileage you can get out of a bfg tire is amazing. we have a truck come in today with 80k on the original tires, and still had another 20k in them. on a superduty at that.
getting stuck is all the fun. yea it sucks, but at least you learned a valuable lesson for next time.
