I haven't posted here in ages but this made my night so I thought I'd share.

I thought these Subaru's were supposed to be "fast", with their AWD, horizontal engine, and super ricer hood scoop. I'm in an 02 FX4 5-speed, 4.0L. Bone stock, but recent tune up and rebuilt rear with stock (4.11) gears.

Yeah so I'm lined up at a stoplight (he was actually a good 2 feet in front of me) with this multicolored 95ish? Subaru. I wasn't even intending on racing but well I didn't want to be behind this guy b/c I was in a hurry.

Mind you, this is uphill, salt (but no snow) on the roads, and 3 lanes (1 downhill, 2 uphill) for about 250 feet after the light, then it turns into two lanes with a center turning lane.

Light turns green and this guy *tries* to take off. I give it some gas and all I get is tire spin. Ok so he's got the hole shot on me but this isn't over yet. I'm passing 3.5k rpm in first gear and now I'm hooking up. Subaru is pulling away, but not by much.

I slam into second and all I hears is GGGRRIIINNNDDDDD!@#$%. Wow I never miss second but finally I lock in gear and take off like a bat out of hell!

The Subaru has a steady pace and he's trying to pick up speed but by now I'm passing 4K in second gear and I'm gaining on him fast.

I slam into third and slide my foot off the clutch sideways. This gave me the advantage I needed. I've caught up to the Subaru by now and I'm starting to see him in my rear view... that's RIGHT where I want him!

Now the fun part, I'm already in the center turning lane, oncoming traffic, and traffic at a stop up ahead. F**K IT! I jam into fourth and keep it pegged to the floor. I want to see what this guy can do.

LOL not much! I'm 1/2 a car length ahead already! Ok so this race is over, and I've won To add insult to injury, I put on my turn signal and cut into traffic in front of him.

All this and I was still able to stop in time to avoid the stopped traffic. I was expecting this guy to get out and confront me, seeing as how I just whooped him but no, LOL, he just turned off at the next intersection.

This is the second time I've handed someone their *** at this light. Normally, I wouldn't be surprised. NO ONE in this town can drive worth a dogs rear... but this is uphill

WOW this forum has DEFINITELY changed since I've been here last.
