I might be gettin a new ranger

Well, not really new, but new to me. My grandpa passed away two weeks ago and my mom and uncle are slitting everything and selling some stuff. So I could get his 97 ranger 3.0 auto extended cab for half of what it is worth. It only has 86k on it, but it does have an oil leak at the valve covers just like my 92 does. So yeah, Hopefully I'll be able to get it since it will get better gas mileage than my 92. If not I'm going to keep looking for some 4cyl car cause 13mpg is killin me. I'll try to get some pictures of it.

Seats tore, and the center armrest is kinda destroyed. It won't even latch shut.

never heard of oil leak, sounds almost common if its on 2 rangers yet I never heard anyone mention that problem before, or I just did not see a post about them. I have 115k on my 98 3.0 and no oil leaks by the valve covers..

Well, Just like my 92 when I fist got it the oil filter was loose..... I was able to tighten it some and there was oil all over it. When I first got my 92 it was losing oil faster than it should but when I changed the oil it was so loose. That's probably the main cause of the oil leak on the 97. That's not the only leak though. I wasn't able to get pictures today. Maybe tomorrow (saturday)

Well if I got it I would be gettin rid of the 92. I really like my 92 but I kinda want an extended cab for more space. I kinda wish the 97 was a standard cause I actually like drivin my standard than automatics. But heck, you can't beat that kida deal. It's raining right now so if it lets up before I gotta go to work I'll snap a few shots for you guys.
