I rolled my ranger "pics"

On memorial day weekend i was down at the beach cuttin cookies. I was havin soooooooooo much fun rallin it and then i got real ballsy and cut a super fat cookie and rolled my truck 3 times and it did a 180. It was so awesome. Then a guy in a ranger drove by and rolled it off its side and back on to the tires. I didnt get injured nor did my passenger. But the cops wrote me a huge ticket for reckless driving. That sucked.

Good news though, my truck isnt totaled. The frame is still strait and the engine still runs. I just need to get a new cab. This is where the ranger forum readers come in. I need to fix my truck and although my engine still runs and i can drive it, it doesnt idle right so i need to figure that out. any ideas?

Total damage to truck:

busted out all the windows.
Cab is crushed.
Doesnt idle right.
/End

I love rangers man. My ranger protected me so well im going to drive fords for life. These things are durable. I drove it away from the accident scene.

If you just rolled it in sand, it didn't hold up that well.

Wow that will need a bit of work! Glad to hear you are alright, but depending on how good you want it to look when you're done you will obviously need more than a cab. Here's what I come up with off the top of my head; Cab, all the glass, RF fender, hood, boxand or box sides, doors, and depending on how bad the hood smash is maybe a core support, grille, maybe a headlight, battery, mirrors, and thats all I see from the pic. The idle deal now, I will take a wild stab at this and say, if your air box is on the same side as my 2.5, (pass side) then maybe somthing to do with the MAF? Or maybe a vac line?

Wow that looks all too familiar... Glad to hear you're ok man. I'd have your frame checked... I doubt it's as straight as you think it is.

If your insurance guy said it isn't totaled. I would get a second opinion, to many body panels messed up.

WOW. I would have been crying up a storm.

I'm going to be the a$$hole again and say the thing that makes a lot of people hate me on here:

You're a moron if you think rolling a truck is awesome. You're damn lucky you and your co-pilot were okay. It sounds like you could use some common sense. I love how people come on here with a rolled truck or major body damage and act like they are king **** because they did property damage.

I've been through it, and I learned a hard lesson, and that's why safety is first, especially if I have someone in the pass. seat.

Id have to agree, I was like whoa till the "it was awesome" statement.

Especially with another person in it.

Trucks totaled, and you shouldnt be allowed to drive with other people in your truck.

Your idle problem is probably either a vacuum line or maybe the IAC valve. Sucks you rolled your truck, yea it was stupid, but I bet it was fun.

i paid the price to have the best time ever. oh well - i mean i like my ranger but i love offroading. time to start workin on it. its not as bad as you guys think. What i was thinken was buy a ranger with a blown engine or something similar to that i could pick up for a few hundred dollars. cab swap. its still drives strait and runs. I just need to fix the idle problem. I havnt had alot of time to mess with it since the wreck due to a busy life but i have plenty of time now. I have never done something like this so it will be a fun project. I have people to help me in real life and hopefully i can get some more tips on here.

thx for all replies
