I have never done something like this so it will be a fun project. I have people to help me in real life and hopefully i can get some more tips on here.

thx for all replies
You got lucky this time , this should be a wake up call to grow up & slow down ! Someone could have been killed. Oh well , the "price of a good time" .If you thought the ticket was harsh wait 'till you see what you get for killing someone!

You should be thankful you didn't hurt yourself or your passenger. I also don't get why people think it looks cool to have their trucks dented and scratched up. IMO it looks ghetto as hell. I guess I'm not hardcore because I actually care what my truck looks like.

How did a cop write you a ticket for reckless driving if you werent on the road? I'd tell that cop to **** off, especially if it wasnt on federal or state land.

You're not trying hard enough and/or havent been subjected to the right circumstances. To do a few spins at a time you need good speed going into it. If your wheels dig when they get sideways you're going over and around at least once. This is why I dont cut cookies, I might just do a donut or two.

that loked like a clean truck. especially since the motor had just over 100k on the clock.

he was on the beach which is public. bam! ticketsville. like someone else posed, that truck is probbably in worse shape then you believe. if i was you, i'd find a 2wd that has a blown motor and swap everything over. engine, tranny, transfer case, as for the front suspension, i'd see if anything was damaged and repair it before it went to it's new home.

if you just find a new cab and put it on, the mounts might not be where they are supposed to be. there is a really good chance that the frame is bent. since everything is bent it might only seem like it's straight.

Wow.....
You thought rolling your truck was awesome? You obviously have money, or you're mom bought it for you. From the pics, it's totaled. The damage is more then what the truck is worth. But if you have money, I guess you could fix it. Personally I'd buy a new one.

If it were me I'd want it to be declared totaled and after insurance pays you see if you can buy it back as a parts truck with a totaled title. Then do like morris said and get a truck with a clean title and a bad engine/tranny and swap everything over. While you have everything out you may as well add in some badass suspension too.

This is all assuming you have money. If not, you're screwed.

i wouldn't claim it. (on a older vehicle, i would totally call any damage to my 08 since i'm still making payments) yes it's fraud and illegal, but you could say it was sold. your insurance is going to skyrocket enough with the ticket (especially if you are young). i'd hide the damage to the truck unless the cop filed a report with the ticket.

Brad yer in luck man i had to pretty much do the same thing on my ranger i rolled mine last winter i did a cab swap and replaced the box and such. i didnt have to replace the battery at all. one question though was it upside down at all? if so change the plugs and air filter . I also changed my oil after all said and done by the way if you have a maf sensor make sure you take it out and clean it oil may have gotten on it that can cause rough idle. glad to here yer ok good luck man

Glad no one was hurt. Ah the youth in America these days....

I did laugh out loud when I saw you were concerned about the rough idle. I'm sitting here thinking "He's a nut!" The body is totalled, your in trouble with the law, and worried about the idle?

Youth...

x2 on that. I rarely see a big mud truck lay on it's side...let alone a ranger!

But I am glad you didn't get hurt.
