So, my ranger has been idling at 2000 as soon as i start it up. It hasn't always done it, and another thing it does is once it idles at 2 grand for about 3 minutes it will drop down to 700, and then it trys to go lower and the engine starts to rev itself repeatedly.

also, i dont know if this is connected to that problem, but ill be driving one day and randomly i will hear an high pitch humming sound.

please help guys. i appreciate it.

 

Sounds like a vacuum leak or IAC plugged.
