After suffering a transmission loss right before the Grapevine, TX meet, I am back now. I thought it was the end of it, when the mechanic told me I need a new transmission. I was about to let it go and get another truck when a buddy of mine called me telling me he found a transmission from a 2000 ranger, with 56k miles on it for $200. I was like..seriously? And another friend called me with his mechanic telling him he'd install and remove the old one for 250. So all in total with the towing..replacing some seals on the new tranny, and everything was $569.00. Not a bad deal. So now my Ranger is back in commission. Much love to that truck. And I should be hitting up the next meet here in the DFW area.

 

Lucky bastard. $569 is an amazing price. Hell I'd be happy with $1000 bucks .
