I'm going out in a few minutes and try to figure out some stuff on the truck in inherited from my son (2000 Ranger 3.0 Flex Fuel). He did say give it away but I never shrink from a challenge.

On a side note, my son ended up with my 5 year old Chevy LT with 75k miles on it and everything but the tampax remover in it as options. I got this 277K mile ranger with 20 PSI on 3 cylinders, bad injectors, bad tires, bad shocks etc....

It has a mis, high idle and I'm gonna find it !!!

Dollars to doughnuts it's a blown head gasket.
Or you'll blow yours trying to find all the problems.

 

I could use some Krispy Kremes. LOL We've been troubleshooting for a while now. It's not mechanical. I did the heads, timing chain, water pump about 10K miles and 2 years ago, injectors, coil, plug, IAC, recently plus hours of troubleshooting. I'm just gonna do more checks hoping I'll run into something.

I've been having the truck for 2 years...we just don't drive it much and now..I need it so....I'm fixing all the stuff. It's cheaper and I know what I have. I drive it to work about 530 miles per week at present but, not for much longer.
