Just purchased 3" Aries Nerf bars for my 2004 ranger. Should be easy to install, but to install the front bracket you must remove the factory bolt that bolts the cab to the frame and replace it with a longer bolt that is supplied with the installation kit. To access the bolt you must lift the carpet from the floorboard, remove the rubber plug and unscrew the bolt. This bolt extends through the frame, through a thick rubber bushing and into what appears to be a threaded washer. Unfortunately I can't break the bolt lose from the washer....the washer and bushing spin with the bolt. Has anyone encountered this and if so what was the remedy? Called Aries and they were no help.

 

Big channel locks and hold the bushing
