Can a mattress be hauled on top of a hard fiberglass tonneau cover using tie downs tied to edge of tonneau cover?

I wouldn't do it... it might damage something. BEST case senario would be that the hooks on the tie downs only scratch the cover.

Could be done... but I would definitely expect some scratches!

Yes it could be done. Just cover the tonneau with a blanket or something to protect it.

I think I wouldn't do it....A goo quality mattress does need it.Covering with the blanket will be good option to go with.

i would be worried about the force of wind acting against the mattress fulling on the hooks from the straps and cracking the cover
