Jumps into gear/ High Idle?

So lately i've been getting more concerned with my trucks symptoms. My idle sounds really high, im not sure of what the normal idle is so im going by sound alone. I have a auto trans and from what i've researched is that the jumping into gear is caused by my high idle. Basicly it will kick hard and its a little delayed when going into drive.

Im really hoping its something simple and not the tranny going bad.

Also it had a full tune up and all fluids changed in august.

normal idle is around 700 rpm. your IAC (idle air control valve) may need to be cleaned, i haven't the foggeist idea where it is on a 3.0. maybe someone else has some better advice.

first, just to be sure, check your throttle cable and throttle body idle rev screw, it could be sitting too screwed in, or your cable could too tight, just check both, if i am wrong these other two have told you right
