Just got my SCT X3

Well I just got my Tuner that I bought from Cameron ( MOTOunplugged )

Oh and Cameron is a Pro At packing haha S*** was packaged better than original.

Well I plugged her up and it was Unlocked with 5 unlocks left. Just for giggles I loaded up the Bamatune that he used with his since our trucks were virtually the same other than VIN and Sure enough it Worked.

So it came with 87 Performance, 93 Performance, 87 Torque

Right now Im using 87 Perf. and So far Alot more Pick up. Oh and My speedo is correct. So I filled her up at the station and now is the MPG test my last pre-tune Mileage was 13.9.

For the near future tunes that I get Im gonna get 87 Economy 87 Performance and 87 Torque or towing or something else good for wheeling

Yeah with the performance tune that came on it its about 3-4 mpg roughly 30-40 miles more per tank.
I have yet to get an economy tune yet and I would expect a little better

but then again I was getting 13 before the tune

I wonder how many miles it would take to offset the $400 if you get a 2MPG gain. Someone want to do the math, I'm just curious.

That's a brainteaser for a lot of people.

i think it depends on current mpg and obviously gas price, but let's give it a shot.

let's say you get 16 mpg average. so now it's 18. therefore you get a free gallon of gas for every 8 use. (8 gallons is 16X8=128miles, 16x9=144miles, 18x8=144miles)
So let's assume now, gas is $3.
I believe this means for every 144 miles you drive you gain back $3.
$400/$3=133.3

133.3*144 miles=19200miles to earn $400. If gas is $3.50, you have to drive 16,457 miles to gain back $400.

I think that is right...

Tuner will only partial make up for lack of gears. You still have the wear and tear on your transmission running stock gears with larger tires.

Depends what tire size you are and what motor. Add a signature so people know what your running!
