lady backed up into my truck on lunch break!

i was at Quiznos with the fiance on lunch when a woman come in and asked who drove a red Ford Ranger...my head sunk, i just knew somehitng was wrong. She said "someone just hit it!" i jumped up and walked outside calmly (actually nervous as hell; i just knew that my truck was fudged.) a little ol' lady like 85 years old got out of her car and walked towards my truck. i was like dang it, why does it have to be an elderly lady.... but i looked at truck and all that it did was scuff the corner of my back bumper. i took my hand and wiped across it and most of her paint come off. im left with just a small scuff mark and it made a little cut into my plastic bumper cover. thats it...THANK GOODNESS. i looked at her car and her taillight was broken. she looked so worried poor thing. i just told her it was fine and we need not worry about anything..but to be careful next time. now if it had been a body panel, i would have asked for it to be turned in on insurance. but everything is fine, im just a little agrevated bc now there is a scuff mark there, but its fine, glad it wasnt worse and that shes ok.

Nice that somebody actually told you about it. I've got so many scrapes and dents on my trucks (yes trucks) from a-holes in parking lots who never take responsibility for messing up other people's vehicles.

At least the damage wasn't bad. If you are really worried about the scrape in the plastic I picked up one a while back and its just sitting in the shed. It came off a 06 and looks mint. I'm just 3.5 hours north of ya so we don't have to ship it. Let me know.

dont have a buffer but the plastic piece is fine, its just a small cut like 1/4" long, im not going to worry about it. im glad that the trucks fine and wasn't tweaked or anything! kinda makes me wish someone would lightly hit my front bumper so i can get an 05 chrome one!

way to be a man about!

Could have been a lot worse that is for sure. I know the heart sinking feeling though... That is almost as bad as finding the damage...

I would just take a lil wax and elbow grease and buff out the scuff on the painted part.
