I want to put clamps on leaf springs. On the bottom leaf that keeps wandering out a little. What effect, if any will that have on the ride (rough already) and will it hurt the spring. Last time I just jacked up truck and hammered the leaf back into position, but now it is cold and that fix is getting old.

 

it will be fine, their supposed to have a little clamp on them anyhow.

 

You should also tight the u-bolts down.That shouldn't keep happening.
