Icon5 Leaf springs shifted

My 2007 sport (recently bought) has the bottom most leaf in the rear springs out of alignment with the ones above. This is the real thick flat one just above the axle. I had full size fords in the past that did this, but never worried about it. My question is should I be concerned and what causes the shifting?

It's out by about 1/2 inch at the tip narrowing back to the axle. As a mechanic I've seen alot of trucks but never really gave this a second thought.
I've in checked the alignment on trucks like this and its always within specs.

Another mechanic once told me, even if you straighten it out it will only shift again.

anyone have any thoughts on this.

Mine does it all the time. Either try tightening the center bolt or get some kind of clamp.
