I was at my friends house today and noticed that my truck is leaking coolant from the right lower corner of the radiator and don't know why. There is a nipple on the corner that it seams to be coming from any ideas help?

 

is it a drain plug or just a nipple? i'd say it's one of two things. either the drain plug is loose/broken or there is a crack in the rad. either along a seam or a hole. depending on the size of the hole/crack or the amount of lost coolant, i'd either get some bars leak or just get a new rad.

 

It;s the nipple under the drain plug. I changed the fluid a few years ago and broke the head of the drian plug off and never replaced it. Do you think it might be leaking now?

 

could be. get under there and take a good look and see.

isn't there some sort of dye they can put in to see if it's leaking?

 

my radiator started leaking from there first then started other places.sounds like you wll need a radiator soon especially if that is the original by the age of your truck.the plastic starts to fail.
