LED Light Bar mount above windshield help

Hi, First post here but I have been a BIG reader for the past 8 months when i bought my ranger. I also have been on dezert rangers for about 5 months.

I just ordered a 44" LED light bar from here;

240W LED Work Light Bar Flood and Spot Combo Offroad 4WD SUV Boat Driving Lamp | eBay

I know some of you will tell me im cheap and I should have spent more but its only 140$ and Im switching from halogen so If i like the Light it gives me and I think I want more then ill just order a better one and maybe use this as a bedlight.

Anyways I have done a ton of searching for the past two days trying to find how to mount this above the windshield on a 2003 Ranger, Its looking like Im going to have to fab up my own mounts that attach inside the door jams kind of, will be made of 1/8 or less sheet metal im assuming.

Just wanted to see if anyone has some experience or suggestions?

Maybe something along these lines but so it doesnt hang down in front of the windshield

I think if those are holes in the high position above the windshield then that is where they should be mounted.

What is the current draw on that unit ?

Also, 2200 Lumens should be pretty bright, the CREE LEDs would have been a more up to date choice but if the LEDs and housing holds together it should work out pretty good.

Great price !

I agree, all the ones I've seen on life are high. That is more streamlined.

I actually saw a product on ebay a while ago but cant for the life of me find it now ugh. they weren't cheap though.

as was said to me before, look into Lund sunvisor mounts as well. they should mount in the same location you'd want to mount your bar.
