LED Taillights

So I bought a pair of led taillights thinking they'd be brighter, since I vht niteshade'd my tails. I installed an led in one side and left the halogen in the other, stood back, and they were just as bright as the halogens only they didn't light up the entire capsule. You couldn't see it from the side. It looked like the size of a quarter, and lit up like ten little lasers beaming straight back. This sucks I was hoping to not have to upgrade my taillight harness for higher wattage bulbs. Any ideas?

yeah man, i was like ok i can just get led's to make my tails brighter. they are ever so slightly brighter yet blow a$$ at the same time. and the package they came in was taped up with half a roll of magic tape. i should've figured something was up. someone else prolly installed them and was like wtf?! i shredded the package up so i'm basically stuck with em. anyone need led's? pay for shipping and they're yours lol

I have never found a 3157 or 1157 LED replacement that didn't suck. I tried a lot of different ones over the last 6 years and they all suck. None of them are bright and fill the tail light housing like an incadecant bulb. One of these days, I want to hack away the back of my taillight and embed one of those round DOT size LED stop-tail-turn lights that you see on 18-wheelers. That should definately work a lot better than the cheepos.

Has anybody used these? I know they are brighter than the cheapo ones with the LEDs all pointing the same direction, but how do they compare to the regular bulbs?
