If i was getting a CARR i would get this one low profile

http://www.carr.com/store/carrlowprofile.asp

for like a chevy with a gutter kit and cut it down its easy to cut down same way as a KC you mount the gutter kit and then put the end pieces on measure between the 2 take that measurement then add 2" or so that over hangs inside the corner mounts and cut it to that length

or i would get this one if i had my truck in a garage i always thought it was neet

Yeah I would get the low pro as well. I don't like how high the KC one is, looks goofy to me.

Bad bad bad idea. If it gets to heavy with lights and such it could rip through your roof and thats not pretty.

ya the car one looks better in my opinion

** now here an idea that just came to me, say you have an ex cab and the back doors open, can you get two of those lightbars and mount one in the middle of the front door and one towards the back of the rear doors. then get a rack and mount it to it? thats a genius idea i think!

I just got mine in the mail. I ordered the Black Carr Deluxe Rota Bar with Explorer Mounting kit # 22222742 (what I did find out though is that you have to take a hammer and straighten the mount out). Best price I found was from www.autopartsdeal.com

The weathers been real cr@ppy outside and I also havn't had the time to do the install. But I plan on mounting it near the rear of my cab (I have an extended cab).

And the thing I've noticed with the CARR light bars compared to the KC ones, the CARR's don't sit as high up.

Can you explain how exactly you mod this to fit a Ranger? I was looking at one of these for a Chevy Colorado, that seems to be pretty close to the right size.

What exaclty has to be cut to make it fit?
