hmm...that is the exact opposite of how i would make it...i would make it as short as possible so i dont get hung up on it.....if u have somthing big hanging out there its gonna hit every time u go up a hill or anything and ur gonna get stuck more often....like u drive up a hill but because of the way ur momentum and weight was when the hitch hitts it just dragges over...but when u come back down all the weight is on hitch when i diggs in and ur stuck just like that....it happens to me even with out a hitch, but if i jam backwards hard enough i can usually just bust it through teh dirt...lol but what ever works for u...

I can see you getting a citation for it hanging out so far. And, it would most likely only get you in trouble if someone ran into it. Not sure of the motor vehicle code in your area though.

Just a heads up in case you haven’t thought of it…

dude, your a fagg.. take that off. why would you try to hurt someone elses car? go build a fat rear steel bumper or something if you care that much about ppl running into you, or go lift your truck or something... but that is just stupid, you want to damage stuff with it and it makes your truck look gheyer than it already does.

Your the ***. Its my F***in truck. And yes It is gonna get trimmed down so it wont be so dam long....

And the reason i dont build a bumper is cause im trying to ditch the steppie bed and get a fleetside

Im really surprised you didnt like it cause we all know how you love big long things

Leaving a hitch in, let a-lone something like that, is a ticketable offense here.

I'm sorry but that's pointless. 90% of vehicles will hit that, piece the plastic bumper and go through the radiator and still hit you with the same force . . . plus the added length just makes it weaker.

Looks great for ruining your departure/approach angle if that was the goal.

i dunno, i see how it could be threatening to tailgaters, but it looks pretty stupid, and may or may not be illegal, too lazy to look it up for you. there are alot of more threatening things you could make for a hitch too, things that wouldnt be as obnoxious too

and yeah i'd be too afraid of backing into someone in a parking lot with something that stuck out that far

I will shorten it quite a bit next week when I get a chance at work So it will be a normal size hitch... I just want to see what it would look like Also Va its not Illegal to leave your hitch in the receiver as long as its not obstructing your License Plate... Also You have room of something sticking out 2 foot before you have to put a red flag or markings on it... And its not 2 foot long

nice one dude, i remember 4th grade too... so when you "off road" your truck, have fun getting up any obstacle taller than a curb cause youll get hung up badly cause your truck it stock height... so it was probalby a intelligent idea on your part to build that recovery point cause your gona need it...

and before you tell me that your putting a sweet ol body lift on, it still wont matter, youll have 2 more inches of ground clearance and youll still get hungup on your hitch.
