I LOL'ed at this thread. I don't see the point of it, but hey, it's your truck, do what you want with it. Looks like you play in the sand a bit... so I see the main probly being it might drag going up a hill or backing down one. If you don't do that much, then nothing to worry about.

 

Its the beach you cant go on any dunes it digs through the sand when it hits doesnt slow me down My cross member hits more than my hitch... Plus the hitch is gonna be short in the next couple days so I dont see why its such a big deal with everyone.. I guess its fun starting **** and hey Im cool with that cause hey i find it fun too.

if i wanted to deter tailgaers, id probably get a strip of plate steel and weld a bunch of hooks/spikes to it, then put it on a hitch

Oh for you people who hate on my obnoxiously large hitch some guy was following me entirely to close in traffic today and ate it... we both just kept going but he had a nice dent in his steel bumper and i had some gray paint on my hitch i wiped off... Oh and after he hit it he kept his distance.
