Mazda b3000 fuel lines
Mazda b3000 fuel lines
Mazda b3000 2wd 6 cylinder 2002 190K miles
There are two fuel lines that go into the filter--I replaced the filter, believe I got them on correctly (short to long pipe, long to short pipe)--how important is this? One keeps blowing off, is this common for an older truck--can I hose clamp them on? thanks!

Connection may have been damaged when removed
There should be 3 connections not just 2, on a 2002 fuel filter
But 2 from the gas tank
The larger connector is 3/8" and the smaller 5/16"
All the fuel lines are 5/16" nylon
You can buy repair kits and install new connectors, Dorman is one brand
You need to heat the nylon line, soak end in HOT water, heat gun works but BE CAREFUL it is a FUEL LINE
Line will get softer and new end can be pressed inside it, when it cools it will make a good seal
Or hit a wrecking yard and get the one line you need complete
Here is an article on the different fuel line connections used: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...rd-fuel-lines/
