Mazda vs Ranger

I'm looking at a 1994 Mazda, are they identical to a Ranger? Are parts interchangeable?

Yes....... before the 01 Ranger that i have now I had a 2000 Mazda b2300, and I took the dash apart and every part said Ford on it. Really it is just appearance, slight variations on lights grills, body panels etc.

Mazdas are like the trannies of the Ranger world, different on the outside but on the inside its all the same.

97 and older are virtually the exact same everywhere, save for the grille and taillights.

Thanks gents, much appreciated. I may finally be getting back into a Ranger after my 02 got crushed by a tree.

Its the 98 and up thats the same. anything under is almost the same, Body panels are slightly different. The fenders are different, but internals are all the same. I had a 98 b4000 and parts from 94 mazdas fit, and everything from the rangers fit.

Mazda FTW

1994-2009 Mazdas are all Ranger based.

1993 is the last year Mazda made their own trucks. From 94 on, they have all been Ford clones.

So,to answer your original question, yes, a 94 is the same as a 94 Ranger and all mechanical parts and quite a few interior and some body panels are all interchangable.

I don't see the point. It's the given that the 2 trucks are almost identical.

We need a sticky on options, trim styles and equipment packages.

B4000s only have 2 models - basic and power. Mine is the basic model (no power windows or locks), but has AC,cruise,tilt...and read my sig for the rest of the factory options.

It's equipped as well as an XLT or FX4...4.0, 5spd, LSD 4.10, Number 1 bars, tow package, 16" rims...
