The MTX is basically an aggressive "all-terrain" tread rather than a mud tire like the MTZ.

It is a good tough tire though, probably great in sand and snow and dirt. Maybe even good on rocks, don't know.

Ought to be great on the street.

I am running them and so far I am very happy with them. They have a larger void in the tread then the BFG A/T's so they don't gum up like the BFG's do. So far this winter we have had everything from snow, rain and ice to all of them at once and they have not let me down yet. I can not say how they are offroad yet, but with the tread design they should do very well for a allterrain tire.

I will put it this way, I will never buy another set of the so beloved BFG A/T's.

I ran them for a little while (street and dirt) and they did very well. I think they are a good all-terrain tire

they don't hold up good to a knife in the sidewall though
