Ok, I see your problem.. Your photos are HUGE.. resize them to a decent size (640X480 or 800X600) and you shouldn't have a problem in the future.

You have to use a photo editing program like Photoshop or any basic one that comes with cameras should be able to do it.

i'm not a fan of the bars but other than that i don't see a problem with it if u plan to lift it but it looks kinda weird but i'd get uesd to it after a while :)
