Mustang dome light?
You're absolutely right... But it's pretty easy to run a wire from your head light switch up the A-pillar through the headliner to the dome light. I can find out the exact wire color tomorrow, but it's constant power but still on the battery saver relay.

It's the green wire with orange stripe that runs from the headlight switch. In 2004+ they moved the fuse box from behind the dash to the passenger side kick panel. This makes it easy to access the rear of the headlight switch.
The green/orange wire is perfect for those who want constant power, yet power still restricted by the battery saver relay. Essentially this relay will remain active for like 10-15 minutes without the ignition key, then it'll shut off.
