Does anyone if a Mustang dome light would work in a 2005 Edge? They STILL put those crappy light in them and want to replace it on the wifes new truck.

You're absolutely right... But it's pretty easy to run a wire from your head light switch up the A-pillar through the headliner to the dome light. I can find out the exact wire color tomorrow, but it's constant power but still on the battery saver relay.

Bob might know...

Sorry, I forgot. :)

It's the green wire with orange stripe that runs from the headlight switch. In 2004+ they moved the fuse box from behind the dash to the passenger side kick panel. This makes it easy to access the rear of the headlight switch.

The green/orange wire is perfect for those who want constant power, yet power still restricted by the battery saver relay. Essentially this relay will remain active for like 10-15 minutes without the ignition key, then it'll shut off.

Yep, and that's your "constant" power for the dome. It's a little fun getting the wire up the a-pillar and through the headliner, though.
