my ranger sprung a leak

Okay so I get off work and its been raining cats and dogs for about an hour before that. So I get in my truck crank it up and start backing up and I notice water dripping from the top center of my headliner near my window. Check the window and its not coming from there. Now I remember hearing about this before and couldn't remember what the solution was. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Third brake light. I'd just get it fixed under warranty.

Yeah I meant to say that I knew that it was the 3rd brake light, but I thought someone had figured out how to fix it. Right now I dont have time to take it into ford and if its something easy i'll do it myself.

You could try tightening the screws, but the nylon nuts might already be trashed. The only place I know of where you can get them is the Ford dealer.

Other than that, your only option is black silicone. That's what I have. It's not pretty, but it works.

I was thinking about doing that. I was also considering my next offday taking my headliner out and using the silicone on the inside. I dunno if thats possible though.

I have noticed this same very issue this past weekend with mine. Not enough to soak the headliner but enough to produce a musty smell.

Black silicone is the way to go. Just leave a nice, thorough bead all the way around it and press nice and hard when you put it back on.
