Generally get an alignment after any suspension component is replaced.

I had a aligment done for 35 dollars

Stay away from the "big name" places they all charge $70+

There were 2 places close to where I live both cheap. They did a awesome job.

I found 20 reviews online for them and all but 2 were positive. It was just a mom & pop shop

Seriously?

I brought it to the dealership, it was $300 for an alignment, apparently my stearing wheel wasnt on square so they fix it and ballanced the tires, but they still vibrate. It was $96 for labour to ballance, and $25 shop fee, the rest was all alignment and adjusting the stearing wheel

i took mine to one ford dealer and they said i couldn't just get a two wheel or even a four wheel alignment. I needed a truck alignment for 90 bucks. I guess my truck is special.

Just remember, you get what you pay for. Unless the shop is just ripping you off.

All trucks are front wheel alignments only.

No trucks can you adjust the back.

(except the VW rabbit truck sold in the late 70's early 80's)

IRS. lol. There isn't anything to align in the rear. lol. Unless it's loosening up the ubolts and pushing forward or rearward on the centerpin on the leaf spring. lol.

Yeah.......virtually any suspension change, except shocks, it's suggested to do an alignment. $50 around here is about normal for a front end alignment. I dont understand why people have suggested to do an alignment for just shocks....i mean..they just sit there and dampen the ride. They've got nothing to do with ride height or suspension geometry afterall....

Which reminds me...I STILL need to get an alignment after my balljoints and lift kit from a year ago. lol.

No, you cannot adjust the rear suspension. But a 4 wheel alignment needs to be done every time. The front is based off the rear measurements like thrust angle, centerline, etc. A 2 wheel alignment is not nearly as accurate as a 4 wheel alignment.

thats interesting. i thought an alignment was just for the front. they never rele specified front 2 or all 4, they just said an alignment is like 50 bux.
