My wheel fell off of my 150!!!! pics!!!

So on my way home from work, my rear driver side wheel fell off. I slowly pulled off the road thinking i had a blowout, and the grinding i heard was my rim, turns out my entire wheel fell off. The bolts sheared completely off, all 5 of them and i cant for the life of me figure out how?!? so as i steered off the road i noticed to the left of me that my wheel continued on down the on ramp without me.... its embarrassing to walk 300 feet then down an embankment to retrieve a tire.... not so much retrieving the tire... but walking back while rolling it next to you as all the cars pass by and people looking is very embarrassing... anyway heres the pics, only a cell phone sorry.

Ill know more about the damage tomorrow when i call les shwaab as this happened after hours.

if you look at the FARTHEST reflector dealie, thats about how far my tire rolled, than about 100 feet down an embankment.

luckily, no. but the inside of my fender flare is effed. which is ok because i was going to paint those this weekend anyway.... probably not now, maybe next weekend depending on how long it takes me to track down a rim. the rim is shot.

That sucks. Has les schwab had their hands on the truck lately? They seem to be really good at breaking stuff.

Seems like you would have had to have a couple of loose lugnuts for that to happen, allowing the wheel to move enough and sheer the studs off.

Who installed your rims last? Looks like someone took the impact to it without the proper torque stick. I'd check them all to be sure.

the last guys to touch it were the guys who put my 35s on. not shwab a different local tire place, small operation. i havent had any problems with les shwab. ive taken all my trucks there for brakes and tires and if something does go wrong they fix it no problem.

ill see what they say tomorrow and then go about my blamey calls. ha ha

ill also have them check the rest of them when they fix the brokeed one.

Les Schwab always fixed my stuff too, but it seems like they were always breaking wheel studs and things from over-torquing. Then I would get to sit and wait forever while a parts truck came. lol
