NC State inspection

What do you guys with illegally dark tint on your windows do about state inspections? i went in there with both windows rolled down but the guy rolled em back up.

The place i went to used to just plug the truck up to the obd port and slap the sticker on, but theres some new guy and he inspects the hell out of everything. so needless to say i failed and have to either lose the tint or find another shop.

and if anybody in Mecklenburg county knows a place where they arent picky or either will take an extra 20 bucks to pass you itd be great to know.

I've been wondering the same exact thing. I want to get the front matched to the back but that wouldn't pass inspection.

If you have electric windows roll them down and pull the fuse for the window motor, if they are the manual roll up kind roll them down and pull the handles off, from what I have been taught about nc inspections(I am in auto tech) windows do not have to be able to be rolled up or down.
