im trying to install my cb, and im splice wires trying to find a power wire, ive been working on the cig lighter... but im still getting no power. and im using the back wall behind the radio for a ground (with self tapping screw). the cig light wire that im using is the one with the little boot on the end right?????!!!

 

I ran the power wire to the fuse panel. Just set it in an empty slot and place a fuse in it.

 

I haven't checked mine but have you tried turning the key to acc. to check for power?

okay.. i got it together now.. i had a bad ground cuz that back wall turned out to be some weird plastic! lol... i feel pretty dumb now, but ive got it working
