Need help
I would appreciate any help whatsoever I have a 97 ranger 2.3 automatic I want to put a 2000 2.5 engine in it what will I have to do as far as the fuel the newer engine is no return fuel the 97 has a return do I plug off the return will the fuel pump work from the 97 will the wire harness work and will the control box work
Welcome to the forum
Just swap over the 2.3l intake with injectors and fuel rail to the 2.5l engine
2.3l and 2.5l use the same head so it will fit no problem, and 1997 wiring and hoses will all match up that way
The 2.5l just had a longer stroke, so different crank and connecting rods, but same block, pistons and heads as the 2.3l
