if all you hear is the solenoid clicking my guess would be the stater.

IF all accessories work and when you are given a jump start and all you hear is a click of the solenoid.... then I would check your battery cables and terminals for corrosion and tightness.
Check your voltage at the battery before and during when you are receiving the jump start to see what it is and then when you actually turn the key to see what voltage is present then....
Is it a stick or automatic...? Could be the neutral safety switch !!!!
As a last thing to check..... I would suspect a bad starter.... The solenoid contacts are not transferring power or the starter itself is bad..... ???
Hard to troubleshoot when you are not there !!!!!

If the starter is just clicking then attempt to move the wires at the starter first. If no luck then smack the starter case with a hammer while trying to crank it over.

that happened to me once too. i just had to wiggle the battery cables at the terminals and it started up after that. the ends of the cables were too corroded, so they weren't allowing it to ground properly. i replaced the cables after that happened. i've also heard that the starter can get jammed sometimes, so you have to hit it with something to get it unstuck.

I agree, it's probably a bad battery. Take it to pep boys or some where and they will put a load on it and you can see if it's bad.
