need suggestions on grill guards...
I've been looking around at different types of bars for the front of the truck. I kind of like the Westin Bull bar, but I don't know... Anyone have any suggestions or pics of different bars to help me decide what to get? Most bars I see online I don't know what they would look like on a Ranger.
I'm not sure of the brand, or if it exists.
But personally, after owning a brush guard, and judging every single one I've seen since then, the best looking ones I've seen are the ones that:
-has a thick "push bar" metal
-has the center piece follow the curves of the grill/headlight
-has headlight brush guards that wrap around the front corners of the truck
-has headlight brush guards with multiple thin bars going across it
find one like that, and it's got my vote

Not too many people have done it....
I took my bracket, cut 3 inches out of the middle and welded them back together... painted them with bedliner spray and installed them....
Looks and works great...
weight is approximately 70 pounds if memory serves me right; I can move it with one hand no problem and I'm a whole 5'6" 140 lbs former long distance runner. My Westin Sportsman 1-piece is currently sitting in my kitchen guarding the RCD kit stuff since I keep hitting the lower mount brackets on approach angles. I'm going to see if a local metal working shop can duplicate the lower mounts out of stonger metal while trying to get them to make rock sliders.
