I'm sure it will be smaller than the current F150's. I think it will be about the same size, if not slightly smaller than the early 2000's F150's. I just hope they keep up with the current styling of the trucks. I like the look of the rangers/ newer F150's (minus the HUGE bedsides on the F150's... looks like a damn taco/ tundra)
(if you havent noticed, the F-series trucks have all stepped up in size with the new body style... Current 150's are the size of the old 250's etc.)

"here, you can buy this truck that will do anything, and gets OK gas mileage. Or you can get this one with Ecoboost, and have awesome gas mileage..... (but no *****)"

They should make some kind of truck that in between the size of a Ranger and a F-150 if that's possible. We could go back in time a bit and call it the F100. Smaller than fullsize but bigger than a Ranger. Engines: large V6 or small block V8 and optional small block turbo diesel. Ford 8.8 rear end, 3.73 or 4.10 gears with a large 5 spd manual or 6 spd auto. And all the other bells and whistles we like in a Ranger. And get rid of the damn 60/40 split lol. Dang that thing gets on my nerves sometimes. Of course there would have to be a FX4 Level II edition or some kind of crazy off road package.
But like others I have to agree the new "Euro" style Ranger makes me want to barf...

The Ecoboost would be a great motor.
They are way better then the current 4.0 and who wouldnt want 350+ h.p. with 35mpg.

I'm seeing a global "T6 Ranger" (look it up), the one from Australia, coming to the US with a decent gas 4 cylinder for fleet and a big V6 for everybody else. Just like Toyota.
The Ecoboost fits perfectly into that range and consider the competition. The current HP for most midsizes is 250-300 horse power. The Frontier, Taco, Colorado, and Dakota are all rocking about 260 right now.
