You only have one key? If that's the case then buy some off ebay but you have to get them programed at the dealer since you need the two original keys to program new keys.

Programming new keys(If you have both original keys): https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...ead.php?t=4829

When I had it done I had two made. Each key was $25(I got 2) and then the cost of labor to program it. The total was $133. While you're at it, you might as well get 2 keys made kill 2 birds with one stone on labor charges. The second key only take about 5 mins. to do after the first.

unless you have a homie hook-up at a dealership, if not, its pretty expensive at the dealership, if you get an extra, then get 2 extra keys

dealer is your only option for the second. just buy a third and get it cut to your door and then it takes 20 secs to program a third

If you just need a spare for your doors you can get one made at any hardware store. it just wont start the truck. Another option is to get this:

ebay link

It will over ride the pats system and you can use a standard key. You can hook it up to a hidden toggle too if you only want to over ride the pats when you are using a spare key only. PM me if you want more details.

What I said I had done was all at Al Packer Ford West. I only had one key and then had 2 more made(total of 3). Final cost was $133.

When I bought my truck it only had one key. I went to the stealer and they said it would take 2 hrs to program plus the cost of the key. Cost $180!

I went to a locksmith and he charged me $75 key and programming - it took about 15 minutes!!!

I can't get the PM to work, but I am interested in this product. Can I hook up a remote start with this? Do you know what parts I'd need? My truck is a 2002.
