If your a 4x4 there is a good chance you are. You can check for some wires at your passenger kick panel I believe or look under your hood for a plug on the passenger side between the washer fluid container and blower motor.
Parts needed were:
Cruise servo and cable under hood
Plug for servo with plenty of wiring
Column out of cruise control truck
The other end of the brown 6 wire plug for the column (have to add 3 wires)
Need to add a wire to the gauge cluster plug to make the speed light come on
Cruise pods (on your cruise column)
If you have a clutch, you need the connector from the cruise vehicle for the clutch position sensor. Need to add one wire to your current plug.
Wire, wiring know how, and patience

My truck is a 2007 XLT 4x4, and was not prewired. I installed an after market cruise control unit from a company that makes the devices "cruise control store" (M&R Electronics in Michigan). The installation was very straight forward. The hardware attachments are already at the engine on all Rangers which makes it much easier to install. Just connect the wires, install the stalk, and adjust it.
Once its adjusted properly, the unit works as smooth as factory system, its seamless, in fact id say its a little less aggressive (smoother) than the factory system in my old explorer.
No fishing through junk yards or collecting parts. The unit was about $200 and has warranty.
so dont give up if you dont have pre-wire, theres a second option....

Oh I understand. I wan't getting defensive or anything. No one can tell what tone someone posts something in over the internet. It was more of just relaxed and letting everyone know how much I spent. Mine took alot of time though to do it.

In case anyone does it, the servo sends a ground signal to the cluster to trigger the light so you need to run a wire for that and also a keyed hot.
I ordered some leds to get the pods working :)
